(Author's note: this is a sequel to the stories that Nemesoak has written here. As a fan of his work, I thought that it would be cool to write a sequel to one of the stories that he wrote.)
It started out like an almost a typical summer morning in early June for Entertainment Tonight reporter Julie Moran. She prepared some fried eggs not just for herself but for her kids too. She was unable to prepare any eggs for her husband Bob Moran because he was in the midst of filming the direct to DVD film "The Return of Oannes 2". This was being filmed because the executives at Paramount Studios loved it so much they decided to release the first film to the general public as a direct to DVD release not long after filming had wrapped up. Thus a second film was set with a similar plot except Oannes now wanted to preach his environmental warnings to the government, and the environmentalists that helped Oannes during the first film are making sure that not only will he succeed in delivering his message, but also to the avoid the corporate figures that tried to capture him in the first film.
Julie was disappointed that she was unable to go to the shoot for the purposes of interviewing the cast and crew which will be happening tomorrow afternoon. Many of the actors that involved in the first film opted to return to the sequel with some new faces joining them. Instead it was her friend and fellow ET reporter Jann Carl who was given that assignment.
After putting the dishes away into the dishwasher, she went to her bedroom and put on a dark blue sweater-jacket, white short-sleeve blouse and a reddish knee length miniskirt. To complete the look was a pair of nice looking brown flip-flops. She then collected her kids and drove them to school.
As her kids left the car they reminded her that they would be going to a friend’s house straight after school and wouldn’t be coming home until tomorrow. On the drive to Paramount Studios Julie realized that she’d be on her own tonight. Bob would be most likely be staying at his trailer so he could be prepared for an early morning shoot tomorrow, and with the kids hanging out with friends tonight as well.
After the man at the gate let her in she parked in her car in the parking lot and walked into her office. She then set her purse down on a coat rack, and began to file away some papers that were needed to be filed. After filing the papers she then made some phone calls to a few guests, in order to confirm the date and time for their upcoming in studio interviews.
Around 11:30 she decided to head over to the commissary for a short lunch break. She then bought a cheese sandwich and some coffee, she then saw not just Jann but also her friend Mary Hart sitting at a table together also having themselves a cheese sandwich and some coffee. They both indicated to her to join them at their table. When Julie got to the table she could see that Jann was decked out in a silver business suit with a knee length slit skirt, lilac blouse and grey high heels. Mary was in a similar outfit but her jacket, shirt and shoes were white.
As they ate the women socialized. Jann promised Julie that she’d say hi to Bob for her. Julie thanked her for that and advised Jann to pack a swimsuit for her to wear just in case some of the film’s executives asked the film’s production crew to have two interviews as special features for the DVD release of "The Return of Oannes 2", just like she did in for the first film. One of the interviews was on land and the other one was an underwater interview instead (as happened to her in the story Wet Publicity).
After lunch she went back to her office, as did Jann and Mary. Julie then began write down some questions to ask her guests during their upcoming interviews. After realizing that there wasn’t much for her to do now at the studio, she looked at the clock along the wall and decided to call it a day. She picked up her purse and departed from the studio, she then realized that it was a lot warmer out now than it was this morning.
The minute she arrived home she picked up the mail from the mailbox, it seemed to be mostly bills and such. She then removed her shoes at the front door, dropped off the mail at the kitchen table and dropped off her purse in her bedroom. She then thought to herself "It’s so nice outside, so I’ll go hangout in the backyard. Perhaps by the swimming pool.” She also chose to have a nice glass of ice water to drink outside to help her cool off. She then picked up her shoes at the front door, and brought them over to the back door. Next she picked up her glass of water from the counter, put her shoes back on and opened the door.
As she sat down at one of the poolside chairs she then said to herself, “A swim might be a great way for me to cool off as well. But first I better check the temperature of the water first before I do that.” She kicked off her shoes after draining her glass dry with just two ice cubes left in it. She then unbuttoned her sweater jacket, took it off her and draped it over her chair like a cape. She didn’t want to get it wet, as it was rather expensive.
She dipped her feet into the water. It felt refreshing against her feet. She glanced over at the shed and remembered how Bob’s actor friend Jim gave both of them a set of swim goggles that he invented and some diving fins as a gift. She decided to wear them as well. She wondered to herself if she should go into the house and change into a swimsuit, or should she just go swimming in what she was wearing. After a moment or two she chose to just go swimming in what she was wearing, both her shirt and her skirt were washable.
She took off to the shed and found the fins on the floor, hanging on a hook were the googles, she grabbed a pair, leaving the other one on the hook. The goggles fitted nicely against her head, likewise the fins fitted nicely on her feet. She took off to the pool and jumped in.
The water felt refreshing for her as a mixture of air and water were escaping through her clothes. As she began to surface her underwear was rising up, but she didn’t mind showing off her underwear in the pool. She slicked back her slightly darker wet hair. She said to herself “I look great. Especially with the fins on my feet.” She then noticed that her shirt became transparent exposing her bra and that her skirt looked darker to her in the water. She then thought to herself that it’s been a long time since I went for a clothed swim in my pool. The last time that happened was when Mary and Jann brought their husbands over to her house one evening to introduce them the fun of clothed swimming. She even invited Bob in on the fun as well that night. The only reason why the women brought their husbands in on this was because the three of them had so much fun swimming at that country club. (As shown in The “Accidental” Pool Party and Wet Charity respectively).
As she was doing the backstroke she couldn’t but notice how both her arms and legs were moving in the water. When she was on camera she often enjoyed showing off her legs. As she switched to a more freestyle swimming stroke she was hoping that one of her buttons from her shirt won’t pop off. She then began to swim underwater all the way to the steps of the pool and see how it would look it she dove into the pool dressed like this. Julie climbed herself out of the pool. Her clothes clung her soaked body. She then walked over to the diving board and dove in. The momentum of the dive worked well with the fins and the goggles, she ended up descending all the way down to the deep end of the pool.
After a few more laps in the pool she said to herself, “I better get out now, my hands are looking wrinkled.” She then swam over to a ladder and climbed out of the pool. She glanced over at the glass that she had the ice water in. When she looked in it all that was in was water so she just drained the water down her throat. After removing the fins and goggles she left them on a table so they could get dried out.
Julie walked back into the house leaving behind a trail of wet footprints from the door, as she entered the bathroom. After shutting the bathroom door she stripped off her wet clothes leaving her in her white bra and panties. She hung her wet clothes over a shower rod. Grabbing a towel that was hanging on the door she toweled her hair dry and wrapped herself in the towel. She walked into the bedroom, on the clock on her nightstand she looked at the time and found out that she was in the water for quite a while. She put on a nightgown and began to prepare a small salad for dinner. After washing the dishes by hand, Julie went back outside and picked up her sweater jacket, empty water glass and shoes. Once she came back in she dropped off shoes at the back door, then she deposited her empty water glass in the dishwasher, dropped of her sweater jacket into her laundry pile. Finally she then read today’s newspaper for a bit. After looking at the paper, she collected her still damp clothes from the bathroom and threw them into the washer and dryer with the rest of her laundry and went to bed. Will she have another wet adventure soon either by herself or with her husband? That’s another story for another author at another time.
